This unique concert is built around the love letters between Canadian composers Harry Somers and Norma Beecroft in the late 1950s . Excerpts of the letters will be read between and around the performance of Somers’ String Quartet No. 3 (1959), which was dedicated to Beecroft, and Beecroft’s “Amplified String Quartet with Tape” (1992).
